The Online Food Pantry has teamed up with Clayton County Health District as a partner in their Perinatal and Family Health Initiative to improve minority health. This initiative establishes an innovative model for integrating community-based maternal support services into a comprehensive perinatal system of care to improve pregnant and postpartum health outcomes. The purpose of this program is to develop a perinatal system of care in Clayton County; demonstrate the effectiveness of a telementoring provider training system for perinatal health; establish a one-stop-shop for perinatal and family services; and implement a perinatal needs assessment and action plan. The Online Food Pantry role is to deliver boxes filled with nutritious fruits and vegetables to each food insecure patient and their families registered in the program.
