Victoria Mitchell
Board MemberVictoria is a native of South Carolina and currently resides in Charlotte, NC. She is a graduate of University of South Carolina with a degree in Criminal Justice and Social Work. After college, she relocated to Maryland and pursued her Mental Health, Substance Abuse and Forensic Examiner license and has been employed with several prisons, hospitals as well as the Department of Mental Health and Hygiene throughout Maryland. She has worked as a Rehabilitation Specialist and Supervising Therapist, diagnosing mental illness and substance abuse for over 13 years. She also worked part time for HSBC bank for 13 years, where she gained experience within the financial services industry assisting people with credit repair and payment options. Being a person that loves to help and give back, Victoria decided to switch gears and relocated to Charlotte, NC where she transitioned into recruitment and hiring. She’s hired for Bank of America, Wells Fargo, and several other large institutions and companies within the area. She currently works for TIAA, formerly, TIAA Cref, as a Sr. Talent Acquisition Advisor within Human Resources. Victoria always had a passion for giving back and helping people and actively volunteers with local Shelters and other organizations such as Dress for Success, Habitat for Humanity, Domestic Violence Awareness groups, and Food Drives. She currently sits on the board and is the spokesperson for The Online Food Pantry Organization, based in Jonesboro Georgia, providing food for Metro Atlanta communities. Victoria also participates on topics such as branding yourself for the next opportunity, tips on interviewing, resume preparation and LinkedIn tips to help local organizations, companies and people prepare for their future and/or next best opportunity.
